This is a beautiful childs hat made of silk in a pre Raphaelite style. The construction is of peach silk satin with a pale silk lining, and the decorative trim is all in exquisite ribbon work with tule embroidery and very tiny gold beads. Quite a rare piece. Condition: Minor silk damage on a small area of the back & on lining of decorative panel, otherwise in very nice condition for the age. Colors and workmanship are lovely. Size: 11 inches inside circumference of bottom rim. Height- 6 inches. |
