This rare Samson & Mordan Owl Retractable Pencil is a very unusual piece. The design is of a detailed silver owl with large opalescent glass eyes. When the top ring is pulled up, a pencil slides out of the body at the bottom. The owl is beautifully engraved and very realistic in appearance. The piece is marked S. Mordan & Co., and has been tested sterling. Could be worn as a pendant, or charm, as the piece is very attractive. Condition: Fine. Tiny rub on one glass eye, but does not detract in any way. Rich color to the silver. Size: Closed- 1 ¼ inches. Open- 2 ¼ inches. |
