A beautiful guilloche enamel acorn, with a screw off top to reveal a collapsible ladies cigarette holder. The white guilloche enamel over silver gilt has a delicate floral design on both the top and bottom. I would guess the piece would date to around 1910 when women would want to keep their smoking private. A very elegant way to do it ! This very unusual piece would make a lovely pendant on a chain and could be used to hold a different small article if one desired. Condition: Very nice. Holder has been used, but still folds perfectly. Size: Height- 1 ¼ inches. |
