This is a very pretty enamel and gilded French box. The top has an rondel decorated with a scene of hand painted flowers on guilloche enamel, and is surrounded by a elaborate pierced metal design. The sides of the box are also decorated in relief. The top is hinged and there is a mirror on the inside cover. The piece is marked Made in France on the base. Beautiful workmanship and rich colors to this little hexagonal box. Condition: Very good. Mirror has minor discoloration. Size: 2 3/8 X 2 5/8 inches. Height- 5/8 inch. |
