This is a lovely sautoir, or long open necklace, that was meant to be tied or wrapped around the neck. Popular in the Edwardian era as they were often worn by Queen Alexandria of Britain. The piece has beautiful strands of natural seed pearls twisted together, with the ends weighted with silver and ruby tulip shaped cups. Attached to the cups are green agate bead drops. A very classy and wearable piece of antique jewelry.
