Exquisite antique Mizpah brooch done in three colors of gold. I have had these brooches in silver, but never in gold and with such an intricate design. The word Mizpah is an emotional bond between people who are separated. Mizpah jewelery is worn to signify this bond, and was common in Victorian times as a type of blessing, or good luck. The piece is hallmarked – Birmingham 1888, and has its original C clasp and pin. Really an exceptional brooch with the three colors of gold. Condition: Fine. Size: 1 ¼ X ¾ inch. |
