The porcelain quality is wonderful on this small porcelain candle snuffer figure with an Orientalist face, top knot, and delicate coloring. Costume consists of a flowing gown with pierced holes in a ruffled collar. The holes appear to be through the collar only, but in fact go into the body. I would imagine this was to let the smoke escape when the figure was placed over the candle. The only mark to be found is a small red 20 on the interior of the body. Really a very sweet piece. Condition: Fine. Size: Height- 2 1/8 inches. |
