A lovely antique natural shell hair comb with an elaborate crown shape design of Bohemian garnets set in silver gilt (tested) at the top. The shell comb is attached to the garnet crown with a small hinge.
Quite unusual, as this allows the crown to be set at various angles in the hair. Very attractive and wearable. Condition: Very nice. Hinge is delicate, but works well. Size:Length- 4 1/2 inches. Width- 2 3/8 inches across widest part of the crown. |
