Although not a large piece, the craftsmanship in this antique grouse bar pin is exceptional, and the gold,
platinum, and enamel work reflect the care in which it was made. The bar pin is 15Kt gold, and the grouse is platinum with a rose gold center, a yellow gold top, and a copper enameled head with a yellow enamel beak & eye. There is a safety pin and chain attached. A subtle piece but exquisitely crafted. Condition: Excellent. Size: Pin- length 2 1/4 inches. Grouse- slightly more than 3/8 inch high. Width- 1/2 inch. |
