A lovely carved hat Schoenhut doll. This very sweet girl has intaglio blue eyes, pale pink lips with a slight over bite, molded hair at the top and sides, and a molded hat and chin strap decorated in white and gold paint with floral highlights. Incised Schoenhut mark on the back. The arms and legs are spring jointed, and the doll has pale polish on the fingernails, muslin pantaloons, an antique dress, and her original shoes and socks. Quite an exceptional and rare Schoenhut doll. Condition: No repaint. Small nose rub, eyebrow rub, and a light cheek rub. Minor paint loss on the hair, hat, and a small area of the forehead. For a doll of this rarity, she is really lovely bright condition. Size: Height- 15 inches. |
