Elaborate handpainted Swiss enamel snuff box.
It is enameled on all sides, as well as the inside, in varying interesting designs.
The top has a scene of Romantic lovers, the sides have multi colored scrolls with a cherub in the center.
The bottom has cherubs in clouds, and the insides have scenes with antique buildings.
There are touchmarks, which are an A in a shape, and makers marks F.W.
It is silver gilt around the opening and the hinge.
A lovely box with exceptional enamel work. Size: 2 by 1 1/2 by 5/8 Condition: Very Good. Tiny bit of discoloration on bottom. Almost invisible. |
