A beautiful silver and 9 to 10 kt gold brooch with an enamel crown and rose. Rose is circled with a blue enamel belt with the motto "honi soi qui mal y pense". The crown is surmounted with a flames design in silver and diamonds. The motto was that of The English Order of the Garter, as well as that of several British and Canadian regiments. This piece was very likely a sweetheart brooch of one of those regiments. A very lovely piece in rich colors and bright diamonds. Condition: Very nice. Size: Height 1 inch. Width- 3/4 inch |
