A very lovely carved baby rattle made of vegetable ivory with a turned top, a central moveable disc with three bells, and a turned bottom with a loud working whistle. Piece has a metal ring handle. This is quite an unusual piece to be made of vegetable ivory, rather than the more common silver types. Condition: Very good. Size: Height: 2 5/8 inches. To top of ring- 3 3/4 inches. |
