A very interesting piece with a wooden structure in the shape of a sedan chair. Part of the wood is covered in the original green velvet, and the sides and front are covered with lacquered and painted metal panels elaborately decorated with flowers and cherubs. There are three beveled glass windows, and a small white and floral enameled handle which latches the door. On the inside is a small fancy hook to hang a pocket watch. A very lovely decorative piece, and a perfect setting for a treasured watch. Condition: There is some wear to the antique velvet, and the door hinge is a bit weak. Nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. Colors vivid on the elaborately painted panels. Size: 7 X 3 3/4 X 3 5/8 inches. |
