A rare and rarified fab figural from the 40s!
If you like your Bakelite big and bold, this magnificent vintage pin really delivers! Deeply carved from a thick chunk of green marbled Bakelite, the piece depicts an ethnic, tribal face in high detail. Heavy-gauge chrome wire encircles and decoratively entwines itself around the Bakelite head, which is riveted to a chrome bar in back. This chrome bar is soldered onto the frame and a secure rollover clasp is soldered onto the chrome bar. This is a marvelously designed and well-constructed piece, and it will make a valuable addition to any serious Deco or Bakelite collection. Hallmarks: Unsigned. Dimensions: 2 tall x 1-3/4 wide. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with a lovely patina, and no flaws in the Bakelite or chrome.
