A 4 ct emerald-cut emerald set 18K yellow gold in the center of this brooch is surrounded by a total of 38 diamonds (3.3 Ct T. W.). The diamonds of varying sizes are cushion-cut and European-cut and set in a silver-topped over 18K yellow gold setting (during this period diamonds were often set in silver over 18K gold as the tools/methods did not yet exist to work with platinum).
