This is one of a series of children's nursery rhymes printed in the 1940's. The poster is linen backed, measures 21" x 17" and is in excellent condition. Excellent for a child's room.

A man was recognized in Hollywood when Al Hirschfeld (1903-20030) drew a caricature of him. The artist was perhaps the most successful cartoonist in America, having published books upon books of caricatures of famous personalities.
Hirschfeld's first jobs were in the movie industry and he worked as the art director of Selznick Pictures, managed by David O. Selznick. Hirschfeld was responsible for the poster promotional of the silent motion picture "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari." ...click for details
The Lincoln Grill, located in Union City New Jersey was the site of caberet and big band performances. This circa 1930 poster advertises one such event. The poster is linen backed, measures 28" x 40" and is in very good condition with color and paper restoration and tape residue on the middle fold (evident in the photo).
