It sits on a similar silver table. Both items are marked with the Lisbon Portugal 925 silver mark and an unknown makers mark (it is a CT or CI in an oval, maybe). It has an artist’s name scribed on the bottom, but I cannot decipher it. Measures about 4 1/2 inches by 6 inches by 2 1/2 inches tall. The glass is about 1/2 inch thick. The base rim is a filled with a band of small leaves, while the lid is decorated with acanthus leaves. The lid is topped with a nice acorn finial. Marked MP Sevres in a circle on the bottom for Paul Milet 1870-1950. This is an early 1900s piece. Excellent condition, although missing the ink well insert. Measures about 5 inches across and 3 1/2 inches to the top of the finial.
