| This beautiful plaster chalkware bust is a statue created by Joe Celona, who was contemporary artist of Esther Hunt. (Hunt was famous for her Asian busts.) Joe Celona (b1860 Italy – d1933 Los Angeles). Plum Blossom was Hunt’s most popular bust and Celona copied it (in reverse). Overall very good condition for a 90-year old plaster bust. The original paint is intact, except for some wear. Has a few minor chips and a scratch on her face, left side, near her mouth (as shown in the last photo). The bust measures 9-1/2" tall. | ||||||||
