| I am pleased to offer this Vintage Carved Bone and Tusks Elephant Necklace. The necklace is made from both bone and Tusks. The long side sections of the necklace are tusks. They have carved Elephants meeting in the center. The trunks are in the upward position for good luck. The Tusks also have pierced work in the design of stars. The smaller bone pieces also have carved Elephants. You can for sure tell this was made in some small county because some of the side piece are up side down. The tucks measure almost 3.00 inches long and at the base measures over .75 inches in diameter. The smaller pieces of bone vary in side no two are the same size. The range in size from .75 inches to .60 inches. However you look at the necklace it still has lots of hours of carving. The necklace measures 26 inches long. I am not sure of the exact age of the necklace. The owner thought she bought this in the late 60's or early 70's. | ||
