Included here are two antique, framed aquatint engravings by Charles Hunt depicting sporting scenes after the oil paintings by John Sturgess (1864-1903). The first is entitled Queen's Huntings...Shewing the Way, and the other is entitled Queen's Huntings...Not This Time. Each carries the marks of the engraver and publisher as follows: "ENGRAVED BY CHARLES HUNT & SON" and "LONDON PUBLISHED FEB. 27TH 1875 BY G.P. MCQUEEN". This framed etching by James Abbott McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) depicts an elderly woman seated and working in a cramped kitchen, and is known as La Vieille aux Loques from "Twelve Etchings from Nature" from 1858. It is recorded in Kennedy book as plate 21. Frame measures 13 by 17 by 0.6 inches and the plate measures 5.75 by 8.25 inches.

This lithograph known as "Canvas-Backed Duck, View of Baltimore" after John James Audubon (1785-1851), was likely taken from the folio Birds of America, Part No. 15-1 and Plate 395. We believe this print likely came from the folio printed by J. Bien of New York in 1860. Frame measures 41.5" by 27.5" by 0.75" and the portion of the print exposed under matte measures 35" by 22".
