This majolica jardiniere and pedestal by Massier dates from the 1890s or 1900s and is in excellent condition. It measures 65.5 by 27.5 by 27.5 inches (166.4 by 69.9 by 69.9 cm). Base of the pedestal measures 15.25 inches (38.7 cm) wide and deep. Opening of the jardiniere measures 15 inches (38 cm) across. This large, antique porcelain dresser box features a hand-painted female portrait signed "Bollinger", and likely was made in Limoges France. Remants of an old paper label resides on the underside, but we have found no hallmarks. It measures 8.5" wide, 7" deep and 4" high. It weighs 2 lbs. 14 oz. (1.3 kg). This lovely Sevres style porcelain dresser box with bleu celeste ground and ormolu mounts measures an impressive 13.5" wide, 10" deep and 6" high. Underside carries a Sevres mark with spurious year code for 1756. Top contains a transfer-printed courting scene after Fragonard, and gilded and hand-painted floral scenes decorate the side panels, underside of the lid and bottom of the inside. Included here is a pair of antique porcelain putti/cupid wall brackets. Each measures 12" high, 9" wide and 4.75" deep and they weigh an estimated 4-6 lbs. total. There are numerous repaired cracks to each, but each is structurally sound and requires no further repair. No hallmarks have been found. We believe these date from the nineteenth century. This is an exceptional Roseville brown jardiniere and stand in the Rosecraft Vintage shape, which features an art nouveau motif in mustard yellow and orange. Included here is a pair of nineteenth century porcelain stands by Jacob Petit. Each measures 8.5" by 8" by 2.5" and the pair weighs 4 lbs. 5 oz. Each has a few short cracks and one has losses at each of the lion masks on each side. Each carries the familiar Jacob Petit blue mark under glaze on the underside.
