E. HOWARD & Co. SERIES "L" HUNTING MODEL 16 SIZE Circa: 1867. Just serviced and is clean, running and accurate. Fine and scarce “L” Hunting model E. Howard in gilt. All jewel settings are 14k gold screw down capped. The hands are fancy original E. Howard hands. Original very thick beveled cut glass crystal. Especially collectible. E. Howard was the most expensive and considered the best of early American production. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
Dial: White porcelain single sunken with a single hairline and original hards. Signed: “E. Howard Watch Co./ BOSTON”. Rare original dial and the original hands adds value. Movement: 16 size, hunting model, pendent set, signed; “E. Howard & Co./ BOXTON”, “L”, No. 61,941. Excellent original plates, just serviced. Case: Snap back and double hinged back plain polished nickel and silver material case. Original very thick beveled cut glass crystal. Very nice case.
