HAMILTON AF Military 22j Model 4992B U.S. marked: GOV'T Hack Feature All original Circa: 1942. Fine and rare American Military. Marked: “U.S. GOV’T on the plate. Issued at the beginning of WWI for the Americans. Unissued or produced or the American Air Forces with a “Hack Feature”. This feature was used to coordinate time for radio silence.
In the spring of 1942, Hamilton Watch Co. quickly converted their Railroad Grade 992B to this model by adding a sweep second hand and another jewel for a total count of 22 jewels. Also they added the 24 hour dial sweep and hack feature. This watch is all original and is especially collectible to American Military enthusiasts. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME. DIAL: Original black mat finished 234 hour sweep signed: “GCT” (Grenage or Zulu Central Time). Excellent all original dial. MOVEMENT: 16 size, open face, pendent set, hack feature, ¾ plate nickel, “4992B”, “U.S. GOV’T”, Hamilton “22 Jewels”, #4C45133. Excellent superb condition and original to this case. CASE: Ordinance “AN 5740”, and “AF-42-35015” (1942 Air Force), screw back and bezel with fluted bezels and ordinance on back. Original excellent case.
