Hampden 23j Two-Tone SPECIAL RAILWAY 3oz. Silver 1892. This simply a beautiful watch. The Fancy 3oz. Coin Silver case by Blauer adds value. The colors on the movement are very bold and provides the original contrast intended. This was the top of the grade Railroad Grade for Hampden and provided a lot of beauty for the Railroad Grade marked in 1892. Just completely serviced; clean, running and still very accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: White porcelain double sunken dial with bold Arabic figures and signed; “Hampden Watch Co./ Canton, Ohio” The short hairlines at 11 and 1 edge does not distract. Original hands. MOVEMENT: 18 size, open face, full plate nickel, lever set, Two-Tone yellow and nickel damascening, “Specical Railway”, “ADJUSTED”, all 14k yellow gold screw down jewel settings, #1,650,390.
