| **** HAMPDEN - BALL 18 SIZE HUNTING MODEL 17 JEWELS ARCHIE TEGTMEYER, MILWAUKEE JEWELER 1892 – 1947. Arechie Tegtmeyer, dean of Milwaukee Jewelrs. Extremely rare Private Label Hampdenh by Ball Watch Co., Cleveland, Ohio. Archie Tegtmeyer Jewelers in Milwaukee was just in business for five years when he contracted with Ball to create this watch for his operation on 344 Grove St. in Milwaukee (Now 6th Street). This Ball model is extremely low production and was created especially for this famous U.S. Jeweler. The Ball circular patterns in superb condition and free of distraction. See the image provided of this store taken in 1916. Moved to 401 Grand in 1935. See the image of Archie taken in his office in 1942. Clean, running, extremely collectible, and still accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME. DIAL: Double sunken white porcelain signed: “Archie Tegtmeyer” in fine script. This is a mint original dial and has the original flour-De-Lee fancy black hands. MOVEMENT: 18 size, hunting model, lever set, “ADJUSTED”, “17 Jewels”, circular (unique to Ball) nickel patterns, “ARCHIE TEGTMEYER”, #1,029,085. Like new, free of scratches, imperfection, or distraction. CASE: Swing out screw off bezel all nickel salesman’s display with beveled glass on both sides for easy viewing of this rare watch and movement.
