An iron handle provides easy portability of this wood bento box lunch set. The lacquered box with lift door holds the 5 divided lunch boxes and one lid. The lunch boxes have a dark brackish green lacquer with lacquered red interiors. There are lacquer chips and minor chips and wear on the storage carrier. It is in overall good condition and dates from the Taisho era.

A small lantern made of sheet metal (tin) panels with cut out karakusa design and an iron ring for hanging or carrying. It has a removable tin tray and a little knob which latches the door closed. There is some rusting and a couple small holes in the floor near its edge and one leg.
