This balance scale, made by the Murakami Koki Company, was founded in 1906 and established in Osaka. The wood case has a slanted front glass slider door and adjustment legs. The front drawer pull as well as the turn knob are of plastic or bakelite. The "Murakami " signature on the sliding door has lost some of its coating. It dates from the mid century.
