*SOLD*

These are charming sets with covered rice bowls and covered yunomi tea cups. They're meoto yunomi because they're sized differently, and often given as wedding presents with the larger pieces for the husband and the smaller for the wife. These porcelain tea cups allow the color of the green tea to be fully appreciated. They're also in contrasting colors; the blue set is the larger. The red pieces have a bit of blue on them, too. The porcelain is quite fine and translucent. (The photo showing the translucence was taken in indirect daylight on a cloudy day.) They have their original box with, of course, proportional compartments. They came from a warehouse of items from a shop that closed in the 1950's and are in perfect condition but the box is darkened and the lid is warped.
Dimensions:
Cups:
Height: 3-1/4" & 3-1/16"
Diameter: 2-1/2" & 2-5/16"
Bowls:
Height: 2-1/16" & 1-7/8"
Diameter: 4-11/16" & 4-7/16"
