Nice and small bronze mortar with matching pestle. Possibly Dutch and early 19th century. (Lost wax method.) Nice turning at the bottom what you do not often see. Dents and schratches that you expect to find on a piece like this. Good patine and a wonderful everlasting ring when you beat it gently.
Medusa heads on both sides. Dolphin handles. The pestle (l. 4")has a putto head.
