This is a rare and wonderfull silverplated bronze figurine of a monkey wearing a Victorian outfit with umbrella. Might very well be a representation of a young Darwin.
H. 4".
It has the "geschützt" mark on the bottom of the base. No Signature found.
It's either of German or Austrian origin.
To me it looks very much a Vienna bronze model......... because of the elegance and humor in it. Never seen one before and my best guess regarding age would be 1930's.
