Late Meiji to early Showa (1895-1930) period Satsuma covered bowl. Measures 8 3/4" diameter and is 5 1/4" high with the cover on. Decorated in a moriage pattern with young boys (Karako) playing at various pastimes, highly detailed painting interspersed with raised white moriage dots. The interior of the bottom and the lid are both decorated with an elaborate scene of birds flying amongst a profusion of flowers. Excellent condition with no cracks or chips or restorations.

A charming vintage cafe au lait (or hot chocolate) bowl from France. A nice dark blue pattern, it is stamped on the bottom with the number 3. There is a manufacturing flaw along one side of the bowl, normal wear from age & use, please see photos. Measures approximately 5 inches across & a little more than 2-1/2 inches high.

This wonderful porcelain canister set is from France, circa 1930's. In addition to the five hexagonal-shaped canisters, there are also two small bowls which match the rust red & cheerful yellow check pattern. Overall in good shape, normal wear from age & use with clean interiors. Please see below for measurements & condition of each cannister. Sugar - measures 7-1/4" high to top of lid, 4-1/2" diameter.
