This wonderful example of tramp art came from Le Mans, France. It has a lion's head handle & stands upon four metal claw feet. Faded red velvet sets off the many intricate layers of carved woodwork. Not without flaws, there is definite wear from age & use, this piece retains its handcrafted charm. Measures 6" high x 10" wide x 7-1/2" deep.

This pair of enamelware cannisters have a very unusual octagon shape. From France circa 1920's, they are a wonderful robin's egg blue color with a white checker pattern around the tops. Not without faults, there are several minor dings & a previous owner painted on one of the lids (please see photos), but nothing at all to detract from the charm of this unique pair of cannisters. Measure approx. 7" high to tops of lids, 5" diameters.

This wonderful blue and white swirl enamelware soap set is quite unique with covers for each of the three dishes. Meant to hang on a wall, each metal jar is for a different kind of soap. Circa 1920's-30's it is in great condition for its age. This sweet little metal box used to contain some kind of candied fruit called "Gelypear". The ingredients listed are pears, apples & colored sugar. There is an adorable picture of a boy on the top & the sides are decorated with crests & griffins. In good condition with only minor areas of wear & a small spot of rust inside one corner. Nothing to detract from the charm of this little tin. Measures approx 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" deep.

This wonderful scenic oil on artist board was purchased at a large market in the heart of Paris. There is a signature in the lower left corner, A. Gergeard 1933 and a sticker on the back with the address of the shop where the artist board was sold. The painting is in great condition with only the edges and corners showing a bit of wear.

Terrific Blue French Enamelware Saltbox!
This beautiful French Enamelware salt box. circa 1930’s, is in great condition for its age. Measuring approximately 5 inches high (to top of wooden lid) & 9-1/2 inches high in the back, it has a wonderful pale blue speckled pattern. It has a couple of minor dings along the bottom ridge (see photos), but nothing at all to detract from the charm of this splendid piece.
