This is a really nice green velvet sewing kit with cut-steel and marcasite mounts, within which is a complete kit- scissors, bodkin, needlecase, buttonhook, and ribbon threader, with nothing missing. No marks, but probably circa 1880, and possibly English. Great condition.
This is a red-leather kit containing a matched set of sewing implements to include- needlecase, scissors, thimble, and bodkin/awl (there is a space for another small tool, which is gone). Unmarked as to metal content and origin, but guaranteed sterling (tested). and probably circa 1880.
