This excellent canchero (a water dipper used for water rites) has a finely formed head on the handle that depicts a Noble that has a nosepiece and a headdress with a stepped design with a tumi in the center. The body of the piece has some Wari (Huari) influence, with the flying eye design depicted. An excellent example. 12" long by 6-1/2" wide.
Ai Apaec (primary Moche god) emerging from a conch shell. He wears snake earspools, a monkey headdress and large necklace. He is holding two darts. Shows Ai Apaec as coming from the sea. Rare type. 8" by 8".
A highly burnished Lambayeque bottle, Ca. 700 - 1300 A.D.
Has two very nicely detailed frog adornos on the handle with a segmented circle design on the top. Great root marks and deposits overall. 9-1/2" across by 7" tall.
A large beautifully formed Mississippian Mound Builders Ax/Hoe from Eastern Arkansas Ca. 1000 - 1350 A.D.
An incredible and large Ax/Hoe that has been beautifully worked and shows signs of being well used. Comes on this custom stand. Ex. Allard. The blade is 8-1/2" long by 5-1/2" wide.
A Llama, with a pack on either side and laying on top of the Llama, facing the other direction, is a man, wearing a full mantle and headdress. Wonderful detail and a nice sounding whistle is incorporated. 8" by 8".
An offering cup, probably a blood cup, used in offering rituals as seen in the "presentation theme". In relief is the face of a lord, wearing a feline headdress. There are rattles in the base that would sound as the cup was being used. Very rare in this condition. 5" by 3"
This exceptional Nazca vessel has two "AMBs", each holding a tumi and having a body with spears or darts. Very nice "ufo" shaped olla, with a single spout. 6" by 5".
