This is a beautifully rendered Victorian or Edwardian seed pearl bangle. The front portion holding the seed pearls consists of a center 3/4 inch diameter flower with 8 petals set with three half seeds pearls each. This is surrounding with three sets of seed pearl set leaves flanking the sides of the center flower. All the seed pearls are present and in excellent condition I think the metal which holds the pearls is Pinchbeck. It looks like 18 kt gold but does not test for gold. This is a gorgeous antique example of classic Georgian jewelry. Delicate but sturdy withstanding the test of time, this piece is a fine example of circa 1830 jewelry. There are eight strands of woven silk in a burgundy color. This is a beautiful belt measuring approximately 27 inches in length and 1 7/8 inches in width. I would say that it is antique to the Arts and Crafts or Nouveau periods. Circa early 1900's to 1910's. It is quite unique. Each panel measures 1 7/8 inches by 1 3/8 inches. These panels are silver plated not solid silver. It only has one indication of this on the front with a tiny rubbed spot on one of the panels. Each panel is scalloped around the edges.
