| These are coral earrings. The best thing about them is the luscious color of the coral beads. These earrings are old, dating to the 1800's, and they are on screw-backs now but I think they were originally buttons or had a different backing. The beads are secured to a fabric backing. The earrings measure approximately 1 inch in diameter each and are set with 5mm round coral beads each with a silver colored cut steel bead on the top. The cut steel beads give the earrings a different feel by adding sparkle and metal to the organic appeal of coral. The coral is beautiful and has a wonderful sheen. Excellent condition. Circa 1880. | ||
