| This is a beautiful piece set with nine genuine Mexican opals. If you are an opal lover this would make a beautiful addition to your collection. The largest central opal is a high quality, inclusion free orange opal with a high polish and green fire. It measures approximately 11x9mm and is 8mm in height. On either side are lighter orange opals measuring approximately 9x7mm and full of fire - red and green. The remaining six cabochon stones are slightly graduated in size and are red/orange in color. The stones are gorgeous and amazing to look at in the light, the fire dances inside the stones. The settings are disc like with scrolled filigree silver work. It is unmarked but does test for silver. Push clasp in good working order. Measures approximately 6 1/4 inches in length. I think a jeweler could add some links at the clasp to make it larger. The settings are open behind the stones. The stones are in excellent condition and very secure in the settings. Ready to wear. Circa 1930 to 1940. | ||
