| This is a highly collectible piece dating to circa 1910 and Chinese in origin. It is in amazingly good condition considering the age of the piece. The bracelet is 7 inches in length, one inch wide at the widest point, and consisting of 5 separate panels hinged together. The piece is not silver but copper with intact silver plating as was the practice with many of these Chinese pieces. The only wear I can see is on a few of the applied beads on the panels, other than that it appears to have the look of silver. It is an intricate piece. Each panel has fine wire filigree work as the backing. To this has been applied super fine wire-work butterflies - two on each panel with an oval rock crystal cabochon in between. The cabochons are held in place with wire-work settings with applied bead work and flowers. The largest, center stone measures a whopping 20x13mm oval the other four are slightly smaller. All are beautiful and genuine (tested) rock crystals. The only issue is one butterfly is missing one of the four wing panels. It is really not noticeable because the work is so intricate. The stones are stunning and have silver behind them to make them glow even more than they would normally. It has a push clasp in good working order. Such a unique and stunning piece to cherish. | ||
