| This is a very nice antique muff chain measuring approximately 54 inches in length and dating to circa 1900. This chain has a lovely pierced box link design and each link is four-sided and pierced with a circle in the center of each side. It as a wonderful, lighter-weight because of the piercing and has a nice fluidity. On the bottom is a classic swivel dog-collar type clasp. This piece does not test gold but is gold in color and shows no wear. It may be Pinchbeck which was in use during this period or some other gold colored metal. It is in excellent condition and ready to wear around the necklace several time or wear it long. Circa 1900. | ||
