A rare and charming carved ivory or bone cosmetic spoon in the form of a stylised duck with its head turned over its back. The tail of the bird is slightly curved so as to create a scoop which also functions as a thumb-rest.

A hollow moulded pottery figure of a Maltese Terrier wearing a collar with a bell around its neck. This breed of dog was an extremely popular pet, as is testified by numerous finds of this type of figure from Roman Egypt.
