A solid cast bronze pendant in the form of a bird wearing a collar.
The presence of a collar suggests that the bird must be tamed, possibly indicating that this is a rare early depiction of a trained bird of prey as is used for hunting and sport across much of the Middle East.
Near East, 1st Millennium BC
One leg and most of the suspension loop have been lost
Size: 2.8 x 2.4 cms.
Ex. private collection, The Netherlands. Acquired 1970's.

A bronze cloak pin with an elaborate decorated terminal depicting the heads and fore-parts of a pair of goats with spiral horns, arranged in a janiform position.

A modern pin connects the decorated terminal to the body of the pin, and although both sections are ancient and contemporaneous they probably originate from two different but very similar items.
Size: 21.3 x 3.6 cms.
Ex. private collection, The Netherlands. Acquired 1970's.
