Japanese lacquerware bowl with lid from the mid-Meiji period (1880-1900).
It is decorated (on the inside as well as on the outside) with chrysanthemums, other flowers and plants as well as butterflies. The decoration is done in gold on a dark red-brown background. There is no mark. Diameter 10 cm, height 6.5 cm; perfect condition. |
