This is a small Japanese Imari bowl from the mid- to late Edo period (1780-1830).
It shows floral decoration in overglaze enamels. The rim is decorated in cloud-like patterns in underglaze blue. The bowl is marked on the reverse with "fuku" in Japanese kanji characters (also underglaze blue). Diameter 15 cm (6"), very good state. |
