AS AN OLD RUSSIAN TRADITION IT IS CUSTOMARY TO GIVE AN OPEN SALT FOR GOOD LUCK. This is a beautiful exemplar for present: Russian old silver enamel open salt in the old Russian style, decorated with enamel on filigree ornament in pastel colours. There are marks: the hallmark 84’, initials “G.K.”(Gustav Klingert) and date 1888.
