| Framed 4 paintings of view of Moscow church in neoclassical style (end of 18 Century) and small houses in Empire style (early 19 Century) by Sergei Arsenyevich Vinogradov (1869-1938), February-March 1920, color pencils on paper, signed and dated bottom left. Framed size of the paintings is 8"x 11". S.A.Vinogradov was one of the famous Russian landscape painters 19-20 Centuries. He studied under Polenov, Pryanishnikov and Makovsky at the Moscow College from 1880. In 1893 he joined the Wanderers and exhibited with them until 1901. He exhibited in Dusseldorf in 1904 and in Paris in 1906. He exhibited with the World of Art 1901-6 and with the Union of Russian Artists in 1906 and 1909. He exhibited in New York in 1924. | |||||||||
