| This is a beautiful highest quality portrait of a lady by well known Italian artist Ferdinando Cavalleri (1794-1865). Cavalleri was born in Turin, worked in Roma, was a professeur of Academy de Saint-Luc. According to Artprice.com another portrait painting by F.Cavalleri was sold on Sotheby's auction in Milan at 05.27.07 for $26 910. The painting is oil on canvas, signed and dated "Roma 1842" bottom right (see my photo). Size of the painting is 36"3/4' x 29"1/2', with the frame 41" x 34". The painting is in good condition. | |||||||||
