| This is a rectangular French Empire gold box of early 19 Century, the lid centred with an associated glazed oval portrait of the lovers on ivory, the sides with nephrite(?) stones. Size is 2" x 3" x 1" (5 x 7.5 x 2.5 cm). The box bears the marks: Russian gold mark 56 and K.Faberge (see my photo). I have showed this box to expert of Sotheby's auction in London and I was told that this box is French Empire gold box of early 19 Century. | ||||||||
