| This is a very rare 19 Century painting "Reading of Bible" by known Dutch artist Alexander H. Bakker-Korff (1824-1882). This painting is a version of the painting with the same subject by Bakker-Korff from Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, Den Haag (you can see an image of this museum painting on my photo). According to Artprice.com another painting by Bakker-Korff was sold on Sotheby's auction in Amsterdam at 05/11/1996 for $39 780. The painting is oil on canvas, signed bottom left. The size is 17" x 21", with the frame 23"1/4' x 27"1/4'. | ||||||||
