Charming chinese acrobat in a handstand atop a rootwood base. The acrobat is made of boxwood. He wears shorts tied at the waist with boots. His hair is tied back and he has a goatee. It is from the Ching Dynasty, 19th century. It measures 27 tall, about 18" wide at the base. Overall excellent condition.

Beautiful antique chinese doors from the Ching Dynasty (19th century), set of 4. The doors are lacquered and have panels lacquered with black and gold. Each door has a panel in the lower register with a court scene. The middle register has roundels with grapes, leaves, butterflies, dragonflies, and birds. The upper register has fortuitous chinese characters atop a lattice. Each door measures 23" wide by 124.5" tall by 2.25" deep.
